SUMMER READING IS FOR EVERYONE
The Westwood Public Library encourages everyone to read this summer. Kids should join our summer reading program:
K-2nd grade: get an activity sheet and earn a prize for every two activities completed. 3rd - 6th grade kids get a tracking sheet and earn a prize for every 100 pages read. All kids who participate in the summer reading program get invited to the end of the summer party on August 4th beginning at 2:45p.m. featuring didgeridoo down under an Australian music program & a theater peformance by our very own Westwood Public Library Players.
All kids can earn raffle tickets by either completing their activity sheets or for every 100 pages read after the first 500 pages. Raffle is for a mystery suprise which will be announced at the end of summer party!
Teens can participate in Talk it Up or Speak Out, book discussion groups that meet each week at the library. WWRSD students must participate in at least one book discussion or blog, but all teens are welcome to do all of the discussions or write on all of the blogs. Teens who come to more than one discussion can attend an end of summer party in August.
Teens can earn a raffle ticket for every book after 1. Raffle is for a mystery prize which will be announced at the end of summer party!
Adults are rewarded for reading, too! Adults can get a raffle ticket for every book they check out this summer for a mystery prize announced at the end of summer reading party.
